Zebiak offered a full range of services on this downtown Vancouver heritage revitalization project. Once we had both houses lifted the excavation and removal of the old foundations got underway. The rear of this dense downtown property ran adjacent to the neighbour’s driveway. To ensure no sloughing of this excavation cut Zebiak teamed up with Vancouver Shotcrete to install a solider pile wall secured with shotcrete. In addition to securing this excavation this solider pile wall was later blind formed into permanent architectural concrete retaining wall. Due to the location and density of the development all services, sumps and drainage were done to a commercial standard and installed by Zebiak.
